Control Hardware
Each of our mega tree uses two field boxes, which help to distribute control signals and power. I have included some introductory information below.
The Olsen 595 that is in the basement sends its' signals through Cat5 cabling to the first control box in the field. This box is basically a cluster of wires that
control 24 individual pc-board relays.

The relays here are controlled by +5 Vdc signals coming from the Olsen 595. The relays then send the power to the power distribution board:

This board just has outlets on it that allows us to simply plug in each light string. You'll notice that these are regular outlets. The whole
circuit is protected by a GFCI breaker in case of any shorts. Occasionally it will trip during heavy rain and will need reset.
